May 21, 2018. St. Paul, Minnesota — Tonight, the Minnesota House adjourned sine die. Thanks to DFLers, a bonding proposal was passed along with a pensions bill to stabilize benefits for thousands of Minnesotans. Other important measures including a tax bill and supplemental budget appear to be headed for a veto from Governor Dayton over the next two weeks.
House DFL Leader Melissa Hortman released the following statement:
“During the 2018 Legislative Session Republicans put themselves, corporations, and the wealthy ahead of Minnesotans, and failed to act on the issues most important to families.”
“There are two victories this session: funding public pensions and investing in a statewide bonding bill. DFLers are proud that our efforts for working families were successful in these areas, despite a Republican majority that put corporations and the wealthy ahead of Minnesotans at every turn.”
